Keanu Reeves and the Big Bad Whoa is my third published illustrated book.
I had the idea for it back in 2015 but no real plan to actually make it. It was only meant as a throwaway joke
Everyone that picked up a copy of See Tom Cruise Run invariably asked me about the Keanu book and where they could buy one.
I took this as an indicator of interest and dare I say it demand.
In 2022, after a year of frustration making a short film I figured I needed a project that only required myself. KATBBW was the perfect project.
The whole thing took 6 months from writing to final published book.
I want the book to be a tactile experience and I have no plans to create digital versions of the books. I feel it dilutes the experience.
So much of what we make is digital and lives in a digital space. I feel that it is important to have real physical objects especially books. Having said that, I made an animated version of the book as a way of reaching a larger audience. It’s a different experience.
